Jook Sing is a Chicago-based Asian fusion restaurant inspired by the energy, vibrancy, and flavors of Asian night markets. Their goal is to offer an immersive dining experience that blends Southeast Asian culinary traditions with a Western touch for casual dining, cocktails, or late-night bites. When they approached us, they were getting ready to open their doors and wanted signage that would help communicate the electric and exciting atmosphere of the night markets that inspired them.
The Challenge
As a new restaurant concept preparing for launch, Jook Sing needed bold and dynamic signage that would not only complement their interior space but also reflect their brand's immersive, high-energy identity. The space was designed to transport customers to the bustling, colorful streets of Southeast Asia so the signs had to play a central role in that transformation.
They provided detailed artwork they wanted to incorporate into the signs, and our challenge was to translate those intricate designs into glowing LED neon while elevating them even further. The signage had to be vibrant, highly detailed, and durable for indoor display, with a finish that would enhance the brand experience from the moment guests walked in.
The Solution
Once we received Jook Sing’s artwork and vision, our team got to work mapping out the best way to bring the designs to life in neon. We collaborated closely to ensure each sign captured the detail and cultural energy they were going for. Multiple mockups were created to refine everything from colour to structure.
To achieve the visual richness they wanted, we combined LED neon with UV printing, adding depth and detail that went beyond standard lighting solutions. We also advised on backing, installation, and sizing options to ensure the signs would fit perfectly within their interior layout and aesthetic goals.

With final approval from the team at Jook Sing, production kicked off on two standout LED neon signs that would anchor their visual identity in the space. The result was a vibrant, high-impact duo of LED signs that delivered on both design and emotion.

The Customisations

Colours: The tiger sign incorporated multiple colours including white, orange, green, and red. These vibrant colours paired with UV printing allowed us to capture those intricate visual elements. The Jook Sing logo used a striking orange and green combination to reinforce branding.
Backing: Both signs were mounted on clear cut acrylic backboards that followed the contours of the designs. This ensured a sleek finish and offered added durability for frequent indoor use.
Installation: We recommended and supplied screw fixing kits, allowing for secure wall-mounted display in prominent interior locations. This solution balanced visibility, aesthetic quality, and long-term stability.
